Honest criticism here. I think you should have opted for a 3.5+ model trunk and deep sixed the red doggy door. But how about putting the CF wrap on the d-door? Would be matte vs shiny but it would alot less odd looking with the body colored red door and cf

all good Jeff, i actually have the CF doggy door. i just liked my painted OEM one better. i figured if there was gonna be lines there might as well have some contrast.

I like it, any plans on doing the grill and headlights?
|
i like it. looks real good.
im actually feeling the doggy door being left red. is it just me? lol |
@NYC - yeah, i do plan on eventually doing the grill & headlights in Gunmetal
@OEM - thanks, i like it LOL |
I got to examine these parts up close at EAF SD, here are my thoughts (for whatever they are worth...haha):
Trunk - Lines of the trunk are great. I would describe it as mildly aggressive. Spoiler is sized just right. The fitment is very good for an aftermarket trunk. The passenger side sat a tad higher than the drivers side. With some adjustment I'm sure the fitment could be dialed in. I would definitely prefer a non doggy door version, I was told that is in the works. Hood - Top Secret design FTW!! Hood looks so mean, love it. The drivers side sat just a tad higher than the passenger side. Mark plans to install hood pins, which should help the drivers side come down just a bit. |
thanks Marcus, ur input is as good as Gold w/me.

Looks good Mark. Put on the CF doggy door and get those 05/06 reverse lights you want...paint the grille/headlights and then get up here in July so I can see it all done and in person :D

@Marcus - Gold Whore FTW!!! |
damn i have the fg hood> i cant wait to put it on. it look so nice on your car.
|
I really like the trunk. I'm waiting for it without the door though.
|
Is the roof cf or painted a cf look?
|
the carbon parts look nice.. even the doggy door is pretty cool.
only thing i'm not feeling is the vinyl roof... really throws off the flow of the real carbon look. since you're in socal you should take advantage of one of the shops that does real cf roof overlays. dal35's turned out excellent :) |
