i see a lot in the future !!! :-) i have to many different things going on for the car its nuts !! i still haven't had time to get my drilled/slotted rotors put on or my neo chrome lug nuts !! after i finish with those im going to start working on the engine bay again and hood dampers are on the list :-)
Hey Chris, couple free (or very cheap) things you can do under the hood:
Ditch the stickers
Paint your oil dipstick handle, washer fluid cap, EVAP port cap, overflow tank, and power steering tank all flat black.
Tuck the wire harnesses that go by each fender

^That duplicolor paint actually bites best to bare plastic.
I've tried adhesion promoter as well as a plastic primer, and the results were not as good.
But yes. A thorough alcohol wash is very necessary (or thinner). A light sanding wouldn't hurt, but isn't 100% necessary.
