the S-techs are stiffer than OEM, but the ride is not bad at all.
From someone who owns both phones:
Droid: Nice for uber computer nerds like me because it allows for 3rd party software development/integration.
iPhone: Overall sleeker, 4 has a powerful processor, better overall navigation, better color. Too bad apple are a bunch of *****.

The fact that my nexus one is always sync-ing my apps/contacts and etc to my gmail account is a HUGE plus. Rather then OMG i need to sync it to the SAME computer/itunes account every now and then. In todays world everything should be done automatically.
having used both, Iphone for SIMPLE minded people and android/blackberry for people who want to get stuff done.
