its 3 am , im done for the day , i put in a good 10 hours of work today on the lights .

i think im 80% complete , i installed the projectors upside down the first time , wired everything up and the beam was upsidedown , i then remounted the corrrect way and aimed as best as i could to get them to center as much as possible im happy with the result,

its alot of work , but looks great !

to tired to post up pics , but i did take some along the way.

did you install the housings in the car while aiming the projectors. Thats what i usually do to get them as close as i can. That way you can use the oem ajusters to fine tune it. You could eyeball the aiming but be way off with the cut offs and break the oem reflector trying to adjust the lights

R1, how did you install the shroud around the projector ? and is there a special tool to adjust from the back ? that silver round bottle cAP looking piece does not seem to want to come off. by the looks of it this is a aiming mechanisim and the one next to it to adjust the opposite side is not adjustable from the rear.


I have not installed the housings yet , the lights are done.
im waiting on the shrouds to dry from paint .


I sanded down to the black under the chrome-like finish and primed and painted . the humiditi in the air last night ruined my paint while drying so i waited till today to sand down again and repaint, 2 hours of sanding later i resprayed and let dry thats where im at now.

I will install the shrouds while the lights are in the car mounted to test fit and final adjust before i reassemble and bake to seal.

Its def a learning process and not a easy project . here is some pics

my camera takes good pics when it wants its not the best but does the job.

On the projector shrouds i use a lil low strength epoxy to put it on the projector. Its strong enough to hold it on but if you need to change the lens it can come off with a lil tension. As far as adjustment just pry off that lil silver cap. That screw and the one up top are the two adjustment screw. Use both of them. If you try to adjust alot with just one you may crack the reflector. Both screws work together to adjust the lights. Id suggest mounting them on the car before you put the lens on them. final aim the so the cutoff are same height and are centered. Other wise if you adjust them you will throw off the light up top.

nice job. so are you wiring the headlights to maintain high/low function? I imagine you'd want to disable the top factory HID and use the G37 projector's bi-xenon capability to get the high/low. A couple pics of how you mounted the G37 projector in the G35 housing would be much appreciated.

i will take as many pics as possible , i ran into some delays plus my radiator started to leak so i had to drop off my car at the dealer the gave me g37 loaner.

Im getting the airbag recall too .

so im going to work on the wiring part in the meantime.

Im going to have the bixenon as my fog , i have the old style balast on my g and the g37 lights came with the new black matsu... and the d2r ballast will not power the d2s one but the d2s can power the d2r ... go figure

I also purchased some longer bolts to better mount the projectors .

I was gonna say in your pics, the cutoff looks a little weird/soft?? How close are you to the wall in those pics?
