new brakes, lines, and radiator WOOP WOOP!!!!
so after awhile of not liking my spongy oem brakes and warped rotors i ordered a set of drilled rotors for my 05 sedan. once installed i waited a few weeks until i had the money and ordered a set of russell braided brake lines. my car has been setting in the garage for nearly a week now waiting on the new radiator to come in (old one cracked) so i went ahead and started with the brake lines. i did one side of the car and due to no room i waited until i could move the car to do the other side. this afternoon my radiator came in and i went ahead and put it in. afterwards, i went ahead and installed the other side of the brake lines. once they were installed and everything was filled, i went ahead and took the car for a ride. the difference in the brakes were nite and day. my pedal feels nice and firm and the car begins braking earlier when the pedal is pressed.
at higher speed the brakes were great too. i'm really happy with the improvement the lines made. i have basic pads too so i'm sure if i got some better performance pads my braking would be even better. i doubt the rotors have much to do with the difference really. i'm just glad i don't have the shaking when braking anymore. maybe under hard braking the rotors help to expel the built up gases but, i think mostly they just look good.
as far as the radiator, my oem unit cracked around the edge of the drain. i was going to jb weld it but, that's only a bandaid really and i don't wanna be on a trip this summer and my radiator spring a leak and me be stranded. i ordered an aluminum radiator about a week ago. it's an all aluminum, 2 core radiator with almost twice the coolant holding capacity. everything fit pretty well. the only thing that didn't line up was the driver side leg that sits down into the rubber grommet. it was just alittle off but fit snug against the grommet so all in all it's fine.
here's a few pics i figured i'd share i took with my phone.

The brake lines will help initial braking. The brake fluid will help with repeated abuse as the fluid will begin to boil at some point, especially if tracking the car.

The rotors came from a company on eBay. I didn't lose much brake fluid while changing the lines. I don't track the car. I just wanted something better for daily driving. I got tired of the spongy feel and uncomfy braking.

i'm not sure of the maker. i found the store online and they offered a great warranty and were within my budget. other than the little post at the bottom being off about 1/2" it's nice.
