Top Speed Pro1 exhaust 06 sedan

I have been looking for a new mod for my 06 sedan, was about to get sways but decided on exhaust. Researched different types different prices and narrowed it down to two...

Tanabe catback.

Top speed catback.

Price difference was roughly $100 between the two, and me (being a cheapskate) went with the chaepest; Top Speed.

Called up the company directly spoke to George everything went well, he even gave me the e-bay price with free shipping. I did notice the hangers were for the 03-04 but he said he never had anyone complain about the fitment. I researched the adapter but the dealer here in Charlotte did not have it in stock.
I ordered the titanium tip exhaust, but he checked inventory and they didnt have any in stock. the TI tip is a slip on that you can purchase seperate, so i can buy at a later date.

The exhaust arived on time undamaged and with all parts required for the install. Quality looked great, welds were OK, no funny business with the piping (like HKS ) I jacked up my car and checked for fitment. I decided to abort the mission because there was no way for me to use the hangers effectively, went to a local muffler shop (FU*# MINEKE, OVERPRICED ASSES) and paid $90 for the install.

The resonators bolted up to the stock Y pipe with the supplied gaskets and bolts with no issues, then came the can...

there was a major fitment issue with the pipe leading to the can. It was hitting the back of the lower control arm, a long subframe bolt, and was about a millimeter away from touching the rear end.

The tech decided to heat and bend the original hanger, cut the other, and make it fit into the original hanger location, then address the clearence issues.

Even after the hanger was modded, the can hung waaay low and fitment of the pipe was still an issue. So after some cutting, bending of the hanger even more, prying, and cutting 1/2 inch off of the subframe bolt (I didnt want to do this at all ) we got it to fit. The lower arm was not much of an issue like we thought once the car is in the ground, the arm moves up and there is lots of clearence then.

I bugged the hell out of the tech to get the can as close to the bumper as possible and i think it turned out great...

Now for the sound ( sorry...no sound clips yet) but it is even better than i imagined
it is deep, classy, NO RASP OR POPPING WHEN COMING OFF THROTTLE...everyone in the shop came over to hear it, they all said it sounded perfect and kept revving it to hear. They all lined up outside when i pulled off.
The drive home gave me the grins, it was loud when i got in the tank but quiet when crusing, vey little drone at highway speeds, and sexy as hell when you get on it. Floor it on takeoff and it's loud, even inside, but its not a sound i will ever get tired of...

I hope that the quality lasts, there are a few guys on here that run TS exhaust and none have issues as yet, i luv it so far. Oh P.S. my butt dyno says i gained 0hp...
I will try to post some sound clips in the next few days...

I have the same exhaust and love it but I just got tired of the tip and ordered a vibrant 1149 to weld on to this piping.

well its only been 2 days and the only thing i think i will dislike is the size of the tip on the can, i looked up the Vibrant and it looked good, maybe in time. Did the sound change with the vibrant?

Wonder if they'd sell the midpipe separate

I see the TS exhaust for around 300 and the Tanabe for over 600. Please tell me where you found the Tanabe for 100 off the TS exhaust.
