YES!!!! it's finally started ! i been waiting for this built for a while now and decided to jump on this !!

As most of you guys in here know the 4080 g35 sedan boxes are no longer around and when you do find them you pay a good amount of $$$ for them! ALSO they only made the passenger side. well for those who have the passenger side your in luck cause we molded the driver side as well ..... anyways........

I got with a local guy here in Tampa who builds some of the sickest boxes and show quality trunks around here. We got to talking and i told him what i wanted and he was down to help build my trunk.

We completely taped up my trunk and started to WORK on this build. We are making the 4080 trunk boxes for BOTH sides. There will be 2 different versions . 1) with a full size spare tire. 2) with a little spare tire.

Difference is that the trunk is deeper then the other..




We started to tape up each side and figure out where and how we want this to look the best. Here are some starting pictures of the build..

Now we started cutting the fiberglass all up and start making it fit inside better and make it clean and follow and the stock trunk lines... and started on the face of the box....

Here is a picture of the driver side box next to the passenger side mold we did tonight... The driver side box still needs to be sanded up some more but other then that it FITS PERFECT !!!! its a dead on match on the trunk and curves perfectly with the trunk !

yes ^^^ but it was never made for the driver side of our cars.. so the passenger side is a replica but its a first for the driver side

I have a custom 4080 for a coupe with a 12 inch re audio woofer, my only advice is to angle the woofer a little bit so its not so top heavy. Mine tends to move when I turn hard because of the weight transfer, I wish mine was angled but a 12 in that small of space what can I say.

 

cant wait for this... like i said on FB, i hope this works with the Rare JDM rear strut bar.
