Tools:
Dremel or similar
and all your normal Screwdriver, wrench, etc..

Things you need:

All depends on what you are trying to do.

I went with acrylic sheets 1/8" thickness I believe
I bought various glues ( eg. on specific for acrylic), silicone and other glues (just depends on what you are doing again)

LED's:
i bought single led's (blue) and the halo rings are LED halo's (all the LED's need gluing as well)
Wire
and I had a set of HID headlights so the top position HID system was used and I just bought a set of ballasts for the bottom.

Nuts and bolts:
I bought a bunch of nuts and bolts to mount the projectors.

Projectors:
I bought the Mini Morimoto's for the top position and FX-R's for the bottom

Shrouds:
I bought the Gatlin 2.0 I believe for both bottom and top

Paint:
I had them outer shroud of the headlight painted a satin black and the projector shrouds Ivory Pearl

I did not buy the resealing glue for the lights. I just used what was still on the headlight and resealed them.

I did make my own mounting bracket out of the acrylic.

Hope this helps. If you want more specifics or have specific questions send me a pm.

After doing this yourself just a personal question...How do you feel about people charging upwards over or right at 1k for this service?

Well the parts alone cost me right around $700 plus the time spent I think it is reasonable.

That being said I did not order in bulk (which would have been much cheaper) so if someone was doing one and is not a business doing it then yes I believe it is a fair price.

I think too when projectors come down in price retrofits will also come down in price. It just too expensive for the projectors for it to be cheaper right now.

I too was thinking it was a piece of cake, and why are people charging so much, but after doing this myself I now see why it is so expensive.
