Advise for blacking out the chrome window trims

Advise for blacking out the chrome window trims

well i have a 04 black g35 sedan and was thinkin about blacking out the chrome window trims but im not sure what to use and would like some advice or suggestion....should i use plasti dip or vinyl wrap? are there other ways to make it black?...which is easier?cheaper? longer lasting?.....im also thinkin about blacking out the grill but quite sure about that yet :P...what would you recommend i use for the grill?....really apreciate it if anyone could help

Vinyl will be better/longer lasting especially if you use power washers/car washes to clean the car & also a little easier for applying it (at least I'd think instead of masking/peeling off the excess dip). Plasti dip is cheap enough but you'd have to hand clean it. Just my opinion on either.

Okay cool bro thnx...do u hav any idea were i can get vinyl wrap in houston,tx?

I just got some great vinyl off of ebay just search it there if you want.. It was 1 of the "bubble release" versions, stuff goes right on with no bubbles, just apply (heat to stretch if needed) & trim to fit.

Plastidip holds up fine to power washes for the record. I have mine done in plastidip

^ always heard that you can't powerwash & a buddy of mine used the car wash one, one day & blew right thru a lot of the dip.. maybe it was just that 1 lol

I always did mine at the superspeedwash and its held up fine for 6 months

Ah gotcha, guess it goes either way then.. I'm sure the application of it has a big play in what happens after too..

don't plastidip.. please lol looks so cheap. wrap it if anything.
