So the fitment IS NOT perfectly flush.

dbaquiran used the same wheels, same size tires and H&R springs. The wheels will move in if the car is lowered as his did. You should be able to find a few pics of his car before and after spings were installed.

That's awesome. I just checked out his setup. Exactly like mine. I'm glad he's already done it. I guess I'll have to order the H&R spring kit. terrycs in your professional opinion would their be any significant differences between the eibach kit you have and the h&r kit?

Sorry, I'm only an engineer, not a pro .

I think it's pretty much user preference by ride height. Even though I have Eibachs installed, I have nothing negative to say about H&R springs themselves. However, I was impressed that once Eibach determined that their 06 front springs didn't work in the front of an 07, they decided to go back to R&D. That meant giving up early sales to H&R for doing what they thought is "right".

I don't know about the general public, but it seems more people have bought and installed H&R in this forum. I haven't been able to confirm this yet, but I believe the front drop is a little greater using H&R. Eibach springs also tend to cost a little bit more.

If I had to pay for springs, I would have bought the Eibachs even though they cost a little more. Besides my preference for the ride height, I believe Eibach has more history, more racing experience, and a solid reputation. But again, this is only my .02.

I'm also not sure the retailer really had an 07 to test fit because the 07 already comes with rolled fenders.

What width did you end up with? The LS5 is a two piece wheel (nice choice BTW ). What they do is a test fit first BEFORE final assembly, get the offset, then have the wheel face welded to the barrel section. The key to getting good fit is picking the correct offset.
Manu from DPE is working with me. I know him from my BMW days

I went with 19x8 all around. The next step up is 19x10 and I didn't want to deal with rubbing again (had issues w/my bmw's) He could've created a 19x9, but it was a lot more $$$ to create a special size.

19x8 and 19x8.5 all can use the same tire size. I'm planning on getting Toyo T1R's - 245/40/19 all around.

The upside of this:
- I can rotate my wheels and tires
- Will weigh less than getting a wider rear
- Costs a lot less (tires and wheels)
- Better driving comfort with larger profile tires
- staggered = understeer and non-staggered=balance

I did some searching and found the same wheels staggarded for 1300.00 that's probably the cheapest but still quality staggard setup.

Are you planning on getting the alignment kit once it comes out to get it back into spec after the drop on the H&Rs? I am VERY curious to see what that setup is going to do when/if you do. You said your about 1/8" out of the fender well now, with the H&R drop they should move back in. Terry was saying that with the Eibach rear alignment kit it will push the rear wheels back out at the top, which makes sense. It also raised his rear end 6mm. I am wondering if the alignment kit will push the rears back out to the point of causing rubbing?!?! Just a thought...

I guess the jury is still out as to whether or not you can stuff 10" rears under the car, lower it within spec, and not rub???
