Sorry, but I don't think the blacked out grill looks too good... Perhaps the flat black on top of the black paint is clashing?

I have yet to see an aftermarket grille that looks better than the stock one imo.

I like it,

what kind of paint did you use,

because this may be the ONLY solution for the infamous paint-chip-on-grill issue... unless the '08's were somehow improved upon, which I doubt...

x2... That flat black looks CHEAP.

Sorry bro, I would have chaulked up and gotten a spare grill...taken it to a paint shop and had it color matched to the body.

hmmm i was looking online and saw this thing called "hyper black paint". anyone have experience with painting?

my question is.. do i need chrome first in order to make it black chrome? or can i just use my grill right now and use this "hyper black chrome paint" and it'll look chrome?

heres an example of the paint http://www.innate.com/Paint/Chrome/HyperBlack.htm

or i can always just go find a bodypaint shop and get a pro to paint it matching my car =)

I'd go the bodyshop route, but you can always try the hyperblack thing out.. did you ever decide on anything? I personally thought the matte grill looked good but metallic would look even better.
