my mirror orange isnt here yet but i got the foglight done and it looks almost same "color" as the headlight.

FYI, the head lamp gets warm (i guess its becuz of color temp.) but when i had 7000k bulb in there it was freaking hot after being on for about 10 min.!!! anyways, i think it wouldnt be safe to drive with the foglight on for long period of time (it might get really hot!!)

Was looking at ebay at 55w 9006 fog lights.
http://search.ebay.com/9006-55w

Any recommendations from that list for my 07 g35x?

I have NO experience with bulbs, so here comes the newb questions:

How (or are) the Hoen's superior to these much less expensive bulbs on ebay?

What temp / color should I select to best match the headlights?

What temp / color should I select to best cut through fog?

I'm concerned about the lights getting too hot and doing damage. Am I ok so long as I select 55w bulbs or is there something else I should look for?

THANKS!

there is a link somewhere in this thread for the HOEN bulb and thats the one u should get. i have it on my g and it looks great. color is little different then headlight but its close enough to shut me up.

some of stuff on ebay is cheap made in china stuff, u get wat u pay for so... i would stay away from them and for the lights getting to hot, i am not sure if harness is getting any of the heat but headlamp sure gets hot if u leave it on for long period of time so turn off the foglight, let it cool down and then turn it back on.

FYI - I installed the Hoen Endurance (yellow jdm) last week. They are nice and bright without being obnoxious. I bought them for the atheistics, but was pleasantly surprised to seem that they work much better in thick fog than the factory bulbs.

Here's some pix of the hoen Endurance [$40 pair] used as fogs in my 07 g35x.

I also tried the xenonmatch fog lamps [$30 pair], but while they matched the factory Xeon bulbs pretty well, I was afraid that I'd get flashed by people thinking I had my brights on. Anyone want them?

Anyone replace the clearance light with something that is more white, closer to the HID bulb and the HOEN fog bulbs?
