I don't know if it would work in the US though, but it would be an interesting experiment. You can probably grab it in Japan for the equivalent of $400 or so.

Seriously though there's nothing to translate... it's got a 2.2" LCD and it's basically a radar detector with GPS, sort of like the 9500i, only "more Japanese" -- hence all the little icons and radar display and crap.

Usability-wise, who knows... might be interesting to show off but like I said I don't think it would work. Most Japanese detectors only go after X and K, since Ka and LIDAR are not big in Japan -- they have automated speed cameras on the highways to take care of you, so they don't need to worry about catching you from the side of the road...

Some of those cars have nissan logos and some infiniti. Since they are in japan I assume they come factory with nissan, so do they do the opposite to us and buy infiniti emblems to re badge their cars?
