I just noticed a fairly large scratch on it today.

Anyways the damage really isn't worth dealing with the headache and costs of resending the wheels. It's barely noticeable even on picture so you should just leave it.
You'll have a couple of those sooner or later anyways.
^ how long did you guys notice the grill issue? my 08 has over 5k on it and looks good still...but im planning to drive to vegas soon and determining if i wanna take my MB instead.

If they are as expensive as they look, I'd want them to arrive in pristine condition, no matter who caused the nicks. If I felt I could live with it, i'd certainly at least ask for a little discount since they are not in new condition.

12k miles for me...although I've heard of people seeing them as early as 2-3k miles so it really depends on your luck.

in a couple months you'll have another 10 of those from just driving around. Yeah they should have sent you ones that are in perfect condition, but if your planning on keeping the wheels for a while, they are gonna end up getting sratched/scuffed/knicked no matter what. If it were me i'd just live with it....id prob. go nuts and get more stressed just trying to get a replacement than just forgeting about that very very very small knick

I have the same car as you and ordered the exact same set up and didn't have any knicks or scratches....that I know of. However, I do not have any spacers as Charles told me I wouldn't need them. My question is, how do I know if I need spacers? Here's a pic:

those rims are HP's, if you guys paid more than $1000 for all 4 rims without tires, you got ripped.

I asked Charles about spacers. I wanted a smooth flush look without having to go with new studs. He said that 5mm worked perfectly on his Z and he suggested those for my setup. After he forgot to ship them, he suggested putting the wheels on before deciding if I wanted them.
I put the wheels on and the nick... I cannot locate the nick by looking at the wheel. I actually have to run my finger around the lip to even find it, so I'm not going through the hassle of returning it.
The wheels look awesome, but I'm having him send me the 5mm spacers. I think that will bump them out just a tad, making the look perfect.

I'll post pics once I have the spacers installed.

Although they look like HP Evos, they are not.
They're MRR GT1's.

No, they are not 1k wheels, but they are a hell of a lot nicer than HP's, thank you very much.

At the very least they should give you a discount.

If not, they should pay for shipping both ways and send you a new wheel.

A baby nick never hurt anyone... I feel that you guys are blowing it way up. Something like that should be looked at like this.
"Oh look a little nick on my wheel, oh well,"
and move on with life

I can understand if there was a gouge on the wheel, but it's just a little nick.

When I shell out alot of money for something, I expect it to be perfect.

Imagine this, You arrive to pick up your new G35 sedan and there is a nick on the paint, or a small ding, or a small scratch on the glass.

New implies unused and I expect it to be that way. Perhaps I am ****, but that is me

Love the wheels, i was bouncing back and forth between those and the HR2's, but decided on something else. But saying they are not 1k dollar wheels is kinda a stretch, b/c superbuy tires have them in 19 inch for 1032.... They are a GREAT looking wheels, especially when cost is factored in.
