i dont think i am going to color match....but EWG35 your idea sounds interesting but i am not quite sure i understand...what exactly do you mean? can you elaborate a lil' more?

I'm pretty bad with photo shop. I don't think I like it but this is what I had in mind. A little ricey.

The rims around each light are left unpainted. I don't like it but I think it's very different visually.

i would go all black with the projector rims unpainted giving it the shiny ring look...plus if you plan on going with some kinda lighting project, having a little chrome inside is good IMO because it lets the lights illuminate and reflect a bit more...i'm just iffy about painting headlights because i think from the factory they use some kind of magnetic paint process where they send a current through the headlights attracting the chrome paint...it's some weird process that's basically irreversible

^^, it's taking a little longer than expected...he's working on many different projects and since it's a one-man crew over there, there's been a bit of a delay...i have so much crap i have to put on my car in the next few weeks...no time with all this schoolwork...imma give CC a call today and see what the deal is though...i don't see it taking any longer than thanksgiving
