Got Bored: 3000k HID's

Well, when ever I get bored, I end up getting things i don't really need. So on Monday I bought some 3000k HID's to replace my 6000k's in my fog lights, b/c though the 6000k's matched my 6000k headlights perfectly, they didn't really make much of a difference on the road. The only difference i would notice when turning on my fogs (6000k) would be the light would shine slightly higher (but since no difference in color, so I really didn't notice).

Well the lights were over-nighted to me (Ordered Monday morning, received Tuesday afternoon) and today's my off day, so I installed them. First impressions, they are DEFINITELY more noticable. Hopefully these won't get me pulled over. But people might know they are fogs now they they are yellow, b/c w/ the 6000k's I never really turned them on, thinking people will think i'm High beaming them since they are the light next to my low beams...

Well less talk, here are some pic's, these were taken at 10am, so it's kinda bright outside, i'll take night pics when i get a chance...

these pictures were taken after the lights were warmed up, on start up they are a strange yellow/green color...

it's actually not bad, when i turned it on, it was a pretty straight line right at the cutoff of the low beam HID's. I was actually shocked, thinking it would just shine everywhere, but it didn't...

sorry, i gave my 6000k's to my brother to put in his headlights in his honda accord. Only had the 6000k's in probably 2-3 weeks before i took them out, b/c i never used them, no point turning them on, b/c it wouldn't help in fog, wasn't easily seen during the day, and barely helped at night. These 3000k's can definitely be seen during the day....

i really like them and i think they look extremely good but BUT but. it isn't something i would do i would dave a few bucks and get the PIAA ion yellow bulbs. when you look at them straight they appear brighter than the stock HID's and when you look at them from angles they look pure yellow and they are sick, sick in inclement weather conditions....

just my take on it. but yes they do look really good i wish we had a bottom mount fog set up

Well here's the night shots, i can't turn on the fogs w/o headlights (for now!) so it's hard to capture what they look like on camera alone and it's true color. But it's definitely yellow, probably a little darker yellow than what you see in the pics...

Looks great. Ive had 6000k lows and 3000k hid fogs since the beg of summer and i havent been flashed once. The camera pics up there that isnt as bothersome to oncoming traffic. With my fogs on you can clearly see a yellow cut off from the fogs below the cutoff of the lowbeams.

thanks, for the compliments...
Csquared, i had 6000k fogs a while back, i guess since i bought my headlights/foglights from the same place, they matched pretty well, but since 6000k's are white, it didn't do anything in the fog, and made it look like i was highbeaming people (b/c it's a separate light next to the low beam, some people may be confused...). But i did like how it looked at night.
