..oh yeah, they have a carbon fiber OEM hood for sale in the marketplace...ravspec has a CF front lip and rear spats for the car too...i also saw a CF trunk for this car...that's a lot of CF lol
I do plan to do some CF in the interior. I'm thinking of either using the CF fabric to overlay the Washi Aluminum pieces, or I will wait for someone to come out with solid CF trim pieces. There was a G37 at SEMA that had solid CF trim, so someone at least make it for the coupes... that would get me the dash pieces, then I could do the door pieces myself. I don't think I will do any CF on the exterior, but I am seriously considering a gloss black roof overlay... Love the black roof with the IP exterior.

Thanks man!

Yup, you got that right... lots of work to do. It will definitely be kept very clean. The G35 Sedan is such a classy car, I can't see doing anything to extreme. A 2009 G37 lip will be going on in a few weeks and then maybe an IMPUL rear spoiler or something similar. I also just ordered some 20mm wheel spacers, so I will be keeping the stock wheels on for at least a year.

Very cool. I will make sure to let you know when I post some new pics with the lip and wheel spacers installed. I am getting my front lip from Riverside, but they will have to have a body shop strip it and repaint it first, because the lip isn't availble in Ivory Pearl, since they changed to Moonlight White for 2009.

Yours should be much more straight forward, since your car is BlueSlate.

Yeah, Robby, I'm really looking forward to seeing your ride, but I'm even more interested in "hearing" it... curious to hear what is sounds like with the headers!!

Sorry to bring back an old thread but is this car an auto or 6MT? I'm asking because I would like to know what type of brakes/calipers an '08 Journey Sport Package has. Sweet car but I always thought with a Sports model, there's upgraded calipers front and rear. With a Sports Package, only the front calipers are upgarded. Can anyone clear this up?

The G35S comes with a bigger brakes kit, but they still have the same design (nothing like the G37S brakes unless you get the new g37S sedan). It comes bigger in the front and rear, which you also get the sport 18 inch rims.

The '09 G37 sedans with the sport package come with the larger brakes front and rear... these are the same units that are used on the '08 G37 coupes with the sport package, but unfortunately for 2008 we are stuck with the same small brakes on all of the sedans.

^Thanks for clarifying that guys. I was under the impression that the '08s Sport Package and Sports model had the G37S calipers. I'm considering a sedan and been comparing getting an '08 vs '09. Given the $3K or so price gap, it might makes sense to lean towards an '09 with the larger calipers a long with new engine and transmission in the RWD 7AT.

Well, if you can get an '09 for only $3K more than a comparable '08, then I would go for the '09 in a heartbeat. Just between the tranny and the brakes it is worth it (the brakes will cost you $1800 themselves to add later), not to mention the extra HP.

That said, since the dealers are giving such great deals on the '08's, I was able to get my loaded (no tech package) '08 G35S for about $9K - $10K less ($32K Vs. $41K) than the new '09 G37S's were selling for, so it just didn't make sense to go with the '09 for that kind of price difference.

Let us know how it goes.
