LOL... I remember when you were rushing to install your sways, so you could take your dog to the vet... too funny. At least with the sway on you could get to the vert quicker, so it actually worked out well.

Here are a couple of pics of the graphite (black) floormats installed (if you call it that) in my stone (light gray) interior.

I'm actually very happy how they turned out. I really just wanted something that wouldn't show the dirt as badly, but I think the extra contrast really looks good. I even stopped by Riverside Infiniti today and Rick said he really thought they looked good even though he was skeptical at first.

Tony showed me the bars last week while I was there as well... but I didn't pick them up.

Feel any difference at all? I'm contemplating because I'm thinking of picking up a cheap daily beater, and I'm gonna need to save some money to buy one. haha

Also, can you post some pix after you install it?? I want to know how much clearance I'll have with the bars installed... I don't wanna scrape them every time I go over a speed bump you know?

I should have a chance to throw the braces on tomorrow, so I'll let you know how the chassis turns out.. Should be way stiff. LOL

Hehe.. Yeah, I was over there again yesterday and Rick mentioned that you were in last week getting the GT Spec front outer braces installed. You should have just come over to my place, we could have thrown them on for you in about 15 - 20 minutes (10 minutes of which is just getting the car on jackstands).

I'll definitely post up some pics, as well as some driving impressions as soon as I get these braces installed. They shouldn't effect the ground clearance too much, then again, you don't have much to give up... your car is so much lower than mine... Damn, I've got to install my springs soon too.

I'm with you on the beater vehicle... A beater vehicle is definitely a must if you want to keep the miles off your G. I've got 2 extra cars... my "beater" is a 2000 Ford Ranger 4x4. It's actually been a great utility vehicle / work truck for me and is an absolute blast to drive offroad.

I figured I'd throw out a few pics of my "beater" since Allen was talking about getting a beater car. I actually have almost as much fun with my truck as I do with my Porsche and my G... That thing is a blast, especially at Pismo Beach... I actually jumped it 38 ft (yup, I measured) off one of those dunes.

I'm actually looking for something cheap that gets pretty good MPG... namely a Honda 4 banger. hahaha

But yeah, I was there to get my engine oil changed and told Tony that front tie bars wouldn't fit cuz GT-Spec included wrong size bolts..., but they found one that fits fine and put them on for me on the spot.

Thanks, Allen... A honda is definitely more practical for an everyday driver... My truck sucks gas, especially with the 33's on it.

You know what's funny... My tie bars actually came with an extra set of bolts... Wonder if I ended up with your bolts? LOL

OK... I just got done installing my 2-pt and 4-pt braces. It was a VERY easy job. It only took me about 45 minutes from start to finish and half that time was spent getting the car up on jackstands. You will need a 17mm & 19mm deep-well sockets, as well a a 17mm box wrench... also, if you have a breaker bar or cheater bar, you'll probably make good use of that. You will need the box wrench to hold the upper portion of the bolt for the rearward nuts for the 4-pt brace... also make sure your exhaust is cool for this job, as those 2 rearward bolts are very close to the cat pipes and you'll need to squeeze your hand up in past them to hold the box wrench on the bolt, at least until you can get the wrench wedged in while you loosen the locknuts... and yes, those two are locknuts. LOL

I don't have any driving impressions yet, but I did take lots of pics, including a few for Allen, so he could see the ground clearance implications of installing these... Incidentally, it looks like these only sit down about a 1/2" lower than the front sub-frame and undercover, so you'll hardly loose any ground clearance.
