-Update-New rims(wheels now on the car)

These are the new wheels that I am going to put on whip. I have to wait until next week because it is hard to get things done quick over here in Germany. I know a lot of you on this forum hate the chrome look ,but I am going for the VIP look.

Update: I took a pic with the rim next to the rear of the vehicle. Still waiting for the mount job.

This is what the wheels look like on a 6 series. I don't know if I want to color match the inserts with the blue slate or not. I just wanted to be different. It seems like most people with G's rock the same rims. I don't plan on racing or auto crossing in this car. I just think it will be a good look. New rims-newwheels.jpg

I will next week. The local german tire shop can't put them on until Wednesday . I want to put the tire pressure sensors in.

Won't be able to tell without pics...post 'em when you get 'em! Hope you didn't get them too big though...you want the VIP look not the Bay Area scraper look

What do you guys think about color matching the inserts with the blue slate paint job? I think it will be a nice break from all the chrome. I love how these wheels look on the 6 series in picture I posted above.

Personally, I don't like them at all. However, painting the spokes blue slate may tone it down a bit and make it look better.

IMO that BMW is just plain ugly. The 6 series is ugly to begin with. Then to put on some big azz white rims w/o lowering just accentuates how bad it looks.

Sorry.

THe main reason i went for these wheels over all others that i looked at was the ease of cleaning them. I have had mesh wheels and three piece wheels on my other cars. I hated spending 45 min to an hour just cleaning my wheels. Not to mention all the brake dust and dirt that gets in the bolt holes on three piece wheels. I like 5 star rims, I hate the factory wheels, and I happen to like chrome. I guess chrome is not the popular choice on this forum, but I like it. I think it will complement all the rest of the chrome that the g35 came pre-packaged with. I like the look that other members on this forum have on their cars, but like I said in my above post " I don't want the racer look on this vehicle." I would have gotten the sport version or the coupe if that was the look I was going for. I appreciate everyones honesty though.

what you do with your car is your decision as nobody on this forum except you is going to drive the car. you said that you're going for the VIP look, then by all means, go for it (which in that case IMO, chrome would look perfectly fine). if you want a V36 sedan that has nailed the VIP look on the head, search kalvinmaui (now his ride is pure seks)
GL with the modding and i hope to see pics as your G evolves from stock to dumped
