well i just got some tires about two weeks ago put on my oem sports 18's.
got the 235/255 setup. now i want some wheels just to take away from the stock look.
I have had these asa ar1 wheels on the past on my is300 but they were 18x7.5 <--
I can get these in 18x8 for front with 40mm offset and 18x9 for the rear with a 45mm offset + my 15mm spacers in the rear - so 30mm in the rear.
i just need some opinions on these and how they would look on our 2nd gen sedans.

With stock size....and a wheel that looks close to the stock design, i would just keep the stock wheels and add some spacers to them rather than spending the money on wheels and having to switch tires over and all. Just save your money for some larger more aggressive wheels in the future.
spending a large amount of money for wheels is not in my future. so this is why these are my option. i have also always loved the look of some nice mesh wheels

Dont really have to drop 4k+ for a nice set of wheels. I spent less than 2k on my wheels and tires and i get compliments on them from every person who asks me about my car.
I am wanting to stay with 18s. also I just want some rims a can throw on my bfg kdws that I just got. these asa wheels are inexpensive.

I know there are larger, more aggressive, nicer, better looking wheels out there. but I just want some decent wheels that I can throw on keeping my current tires.
I just want some opinions on how they might look. they would be staggered with spacer in the back. im just afraid the lip will make the wheels look too small.

I had AR1's on my previous ride, too. Loved them, nice, strong and relatively light. But if the AR2's were out then, i would have gone for that. Although, given the lip, you may want to upsize further. Those 18s will look like 17s, especially when you compare it to the OEM.
i will be ordering these tommorow. hopefully canget them by the end of the week.
the 18x9's have a nice size lip to them.
18x8 offset 35
18x9 offset 45 (+ my 15mm spacers)

Make sure that they do for the G application, i've seen 18s for a different vehicle with 40 offset and the lip was only about an inch.

you may have seen the 18x7.5 size because i had the 18x7.5 onmy is300 and the lip was kinda small. im gona call tire rack tommorow and verify lip sizes for the ones im getting. thnksOriginally Posted by soundmike
