BTW, I looked at the trim, and the only part that seems hard is the c pillar (I think that's what it's called) at the rear door, where it curves toward the rear wheel.
A linky would be great as I'm not sure what type of vinyl we're referring to

So you had to cut a bunch of pieces and then fit them exactly to the contours of the trim right? Any idea how many strips were used? just to understand how they actually put it on?

Also just to clarify, did the installer actually remove the rubber surrounds to install the vinyl? how does the rubber surrounds come off?

I bought 10 feet of vinyl, the C pillar was the only thing that was cut exactly, the rest were done by strips. I think there were 10 pieces cut total for the whole car. 8 straight strips and 2 exact cuts for the C pillar. We just peeled the rubber molding off a bit but we didn't remove it completely. The rubber just comes right off if you pull it. There are some clips so do it gently.

BTW, Here's how my car is looking now.

^ Uber Sexy buddy, the blue LEDs look nicer at night with the reflection of the IP headlights.

Thanks again for the help on the vinyl, now I just have to find a decent place that sells these. Hopefully San~man will help me out

BTW, did you paint the front grill and rear trunk/boot silver liner Glossy Black? or was it a specific color you put on?

I think it came out really good, the rest of my paint isn't in that good condition, it's kinda yellowish so I'm going to bring it to Andrew for a detail Monday see what he could do about that

Bro the car looks SICK!!

Ok I'm trying to understand something. Now I was looking at the rubber trim around the chrome and I can see how you'd tuck in the vinyl on the top chrome bars, and I think I can understand how you did the bottom ones too (the rubber surround doesn't seem to be as easy as the top ones to spread apart). Now with this being said did you install the vinyl with your windows down? Because it seems like the easiest way to go about it.

Also did you cut the trim for the C-pillar to the same size as on the car? I.e. you have to connect two pieces together at the point somewhere in a red circle below to cover the C-pillar? Does that make sense?

Maybe if we get some Macro shots of each chrome strip that's been covered lol
