danggg, those are bright! i was thinking of putting leds in my tails, this may be that much easier though..
they probably have reverse polarity diodes that short out when theyre backwards. the turn signal wire should go directly to the led bulb, and the resistor should go from the signal wire to ground. did you hook it up that way, or signal --> resistor --> led? cause if you did the latter it wouldnt light up
I was able to change out my rear signals to LEDs fairly easily. The splicing wasn't hard.
But, I'm having some difficulties with the front bulbs since on my '06, we have 7443 bulbs, which are dual-filament.
I bought these LEDs, Dual Color Changing 7443 LEDs for my front.
When I turned on my parking lights, they illuminated white. I spliced in the resistor to the signal, then tried out the signal, but the signal wouldn't turn on at all. It wouldn't even hyperblink.
So, I'm very confused... because I know I'm splicing and grounding everything correctly. Another problem was when I put these bulbs in backwards (wrong polarity), it blew a fuse.
It happened twice, fortunately, 'Driver was very helpful and I was able to replace it very quickly.
