Quick question...the ebay store says bolt on...does this require that you use existing holes (assuming you have the factory wing and remove it) - or is it put on my adhesive tape?

I like...but am not drilling my trunk.

Thanks!

Good question. The kit comes with automotive 3m double-sided adhesive, as well as bolts if you want to go that route.

I originally drilled through the trunk to apply the bolts, but long story short i ended up not bolting them at all. Instead, i used the pre-applied double-sided tape along with some RTV Silicone adhesive sealant all around the perimeter of the wing. So far so good and has been held tight through 130mph as well as rain, sleet, snow and sub-freezing temperatures we've had to date.

Soundmike, the spoiler is very nice. Please post a write up on the installation. Thanks.

Does it sit flush at the edges where the bolts would normally secure the wing, if you were to have drilled the wing?

Hey San, the wing actually comes pre-drilled. Oddly enough it also has holes near the center (i didn't utilize). With the thing screwed down, i don't think there'd be any gap. There's a slight one on the passenger side of mine at the very edge and i attribute this to missing it as the adhesive was setting.
showing where exactly those holes are, it's fairly close to the edge. On the left side is the "inner" hole i mentioned above.

LOL, I just read what I wrote. To clarify, the wing has 4 bolts, and the outer ones are the ones that require drilling holes in the trunklid, correct?

So essentially (I think I'm getting this right), you cut off the 2 outer bolts, used the two inner bolts, then used rtv to seal the wing, right? Or no?

I originally focused on the outer holes, not meaning to utilize the middle holes. Any of the four pre-drilled holes on the spoiler will require drilling on the trunk lid.

In the end i skipped all the screwing/holes and went with just the double-sided tape and RTV to attach the spoiler to the trunk.

Does that help?

I agree this is a nice lip spoiler..This is actually one of my favorite spoilers for the Sedans and i have seen them all.

I installed the Stillin Rear Lip spoiler which look similar to what you got in style...i got mine when it was dirt cheap on sale but now the price is back up.

NIce pick up.
