WHAT THE HECK!???? That sounds absolutely absurd!!! :S

Oh my goodness. Let me guess.. they wont be receiving further shipment of their material till July im assuming. Hence, this problem?

But man... sorry to hear that Adrian.

It would have been nice seeing this setup on your ride. Damnnn.....

Man that sucks Adrian
It's too bad, but Forgestar is really screwing up their rep.

I know... I'm really bummed. I originally ordered them the last week in August and here I am 4 months later still without wheels. And their next shipment of 20" spool pieces doesn't arrive until late July! no Way i'm waiting that much longer. That'd be almost a year for a set of wheels.. no freaking way!

Not to mention the fact that I haven't driven the car for the past month because one of my rear tires is completely bald. Now I'm gonna have to wait 8+ weeks for any other special order wheel, so it looks like I'll be buying some new rear tires for the time being and wait to decide which wheels to go with.

At least Forgestar has already credited my deposit, so I don't have to deal with that.

Thanks, Ian... They definitely didn't help their rep with me... I was dealing with them direct and their customer service and follow-up was terrible. I understand they are just starting out, but come on, iForged has been doing this for years, so they should at least have some idea of what they are doing. Oh well... live and learn. I'm thinking of ordering a set of Work Schwert SC1's now. Will make a decision by the end of the week.

man that REALLY sucks, I had no idea you had been waiting that long.
I was getting pretty fed up waiting for my DPEs last summer after a screw up.
My June order took until October to get sorted out after they shipped me wheels with a BMW bolt pattern.
lol, I guess they thought I still had my M.

Now after all that waiting I'm changing to something else.

And that's basically the reason I'm affraid to go with the first used wheels I can find... Just to change to something else in a few months. I'm hoping that if I get the wheels I really want the first time, then I can at least stick with them for a couple of years.

I actually almost went with DPE, as well. They were offering me sponsorship pricing, but I didn't want to wait the 3 months lead-time they were quoting me... go figure.

So, what you got up your sleeve now, Ian?

Yeah...
I was looking for a set of wheels for track use & then I decided to just get something that would do for every day as well as track.
I'm going back to 19s instead of the 20s
I'll be posting up the DPEs soon.

Thanks, Wes.

Why the switch back to 19's, Ian, if you don't mind me asking? Which DPE's did you end up with anyway? PM me the details... I might be interested.

Ahhh, to bad, those DPE's looked awesome.
Well, at least it adds to your "been there, done that" list.

19s are actually a compromise.
For just track I should be on 18s.
So the 19s are a tweener; OK for track & decent for everyday.
There's a couple of pics here.

...sorry Wes for going OT

Gotchya. I'm actually planning on buying a separate set of wheels for a track day set-up... Those will most likely be 19's as well, or possibly even 18's if I can find some nice light 18" wheels that will fit over the Akebono's.

Yeah, sorry, Wes... Last OT post... I promise.

No worries guys!!! lol I really dont care. I prefer you guys do! lol

Any thoughts what you might like right now Ian? But yes, those DPE's looked real good on your G Ian. Perhaps you can do what you initially thought you'd do, swap out track rims when you do track. Just like Adrian.

Yeah, I have something picked out & in the pipeline

I was going to do that Wes, but then I would have 3 sets of wheels & tires kicking around. (winters)
I don't track that much so it really doesn't make much sense for a dedicated set.
Also, the roads are pretty bad around where I am, so 19s will be a little more forgiving.

It's really what I intended to do before i fell in love with the DPEs. Oh well
