Harrison, do you drive your G in the snow? Or is that your beater truck? lol you guys got a lot of snow, holy crap. Our 08 G X wouldn't move in that. The tires suck too much

Anyone on here that know me knows that this is a rarity... I normally don't let my car get this dirty but the temps have been way to cold to get the salt off this past week.

Tires are Bridgestone WS-50 Blizzaks sized in 225/55-17
Mounted on 17x7.5 Sport Edition F7 wheels.
The whole setup came from Tirerack for $780-.
Not a bad deal and they're awesome in the snow.
FINALLY someone with an X thats lowered on snow tires. PLEASE, tell me how it does lol. I'm on the fence if i should lower the new 08 X next spring. Im getting G37 coupe 19s for it (summer of course) and i dont want to be able to put my head in the wheel gap, but it needs to be able to survive Fargo North Dakota in the winter (bad snow drifts up there). Of course i'll be getting Blizzaks mounted to the stock 17s, but i just want to know if i'll get around fine with a slightly lowered suspension (not slamming it)

Thanks man.

Once the plows go through, no issues at all.
In fact, I watch the other cars in front of me while on the snow drenched MA Pike and check out their clearance from behind and even at stock height, I see some of them touching where I don't, even after the drop.
Do it... I'm so sorry I waited as long as I did.

I pulled the car out of the garage into 6" of snow and then measured the part where you can see the car plowed. That section was 4" deep, showing I have just slightly less than that of clearance.
These X's are amazing in the snow with Blizzaks on. My car is better in the snow than the wife's Acura MDX (as long as I behave myself)

I have 19's for the summer as well and the wheel gap was absolutely hideous.

^Thats when a pickup/SUV is nice. Just blast right through it lol I did a little of that last winter with my moms Silverado. Ground clearance and chunky tires are nice lol

And Aeson, thats great. I might have to lower it now.

Good to hear the good feedback Scott. I had to head to work this morning at 9AM and for the first time took my RWD G out for a nice introduction to our New England winter. I was very hesitant to look into a drop as I was already worried about my traction issues. Happy to say that with the help of some snows it preformed admirably, not a single issue on the way there it was much better then my old civic with all seasons. The only problem came when I got into the parking lot in which I found my self in a small snow bank. I just took off the traction control and used up some of the power to blast right out. After hearing about the clearance on the drop, I will be looking into being lowered!

We sure got a little more than that in my part of state; shoveling out was not fun. Forgot to take pics for the thread though.

AesonVirus: I really like those wheels and for that price it's a nice deal, pretty tempting even though I've been looking at a ton of other options. Thanks for making my decision even harder. lol

I put my G to work. I plowed my entire block =]
When it was snowing soft snow, I was plowin no problem... BUt now no ground clearance+ roads are becoming Ice. Not fun hearin ice hittin the undercarriage

And thanx to past winters and roads My old Cracked open Borla midmuffler lol

Just a day before it snowed...Replaced with Magnaflow Xpipe wit resonators inside. Much deeper tone but much more quieter in the cabin. WIN win...
