Video--G35 vs G37S
Ok...sorry but I don't know how to embed the video into the thread, but here is the link:
Hope you enjoy! The white G35 is mine. Again, these races were extremely close....the best launch determined the winner. Both cars are stock.

Yes, both cars are stock.
As a 20 year airline captain...I'm definetly not going to put my career in jeopardy by racing on the street. The track is fun and I just wish it was a quarter mile raceway instead of an 1/8th, but I'm too lazy to drive all the way to Moroso!!

I would like to see an G35S vs. G37S head to head as both have limited slip differential and can launch better. Thanks for sharing BTW

Maybe it was a sticky track...but both cars had no trouble launching at all. After a quick burnout to remove any dirt/water off the tire, both the 35 and 37s could take a 1500rpm launch to immediate full throttle with very little wheelspin...even with vdc off.
His limited diff and better tires didn't seem to make much of a difference at the track that night. In fact, more often than not, my car seemed to launch better.
He would start a slow walking as we approached 80mph.

That was my first time going to that track. Overall, it was a good experience...25 bucks to get in (race) 10 to watch and there was very few cars hitting the track so you could get alot of runs in very quickly (unlike Moroso).
They also have a drifting school which seemed to be pretty popular on Fri night.
PM me if you end up going!

Well, this track was an old airport...they use the runway for the runs. In a way, I sort of liked the 1/8th mile better. You only get to about 80 (in a normal G) so it doesn't feel like you are really pushing (or braking) the car as hard as you do in the quarter mile. Also, people got through the runs quickly so there wasn't much waiting in line.
There is a conversion factor to turn 1/8 mile times into 1/4 mile times. Take the 1/8 mile time+.22/.655
Using that formula, I had a best run of 14.02 in my G35 and my buddy ran a 13.91 in the G37. Not bad for stock 4 door sedans!!
