*ARK PERFORMANCE* now for the V36 sedans!!!
Ark Performance is currently working on a catback exhaust system for the V36 platform. They already have a system available for the G37 coupes and hopefully in about few months (hopefully sooner), the sedan version will be released to us.
I first got in touch with Ark Performance through a thread on myg37.com about them looking for a test vehicle for the V36 sedan. I got a chance to meet with Alex & Ted from Ark last week to discuss the possible designs for the exhaust. I had a good time chatting with Alex for a while looking at various designs for the exhaust. Ark has decided to utilize dual chamber mufflers on the sedan in order to make a true dual set up for the sedans just like the coupe version. I know that our muffler set up is totally different from the coupes, so they will need to fabricate the dual chamber design to make it fit properly on the sedans. They have already completed a preliminary test fit last week with my car. They had my car for 2 days for the preliminary fitment which turned out great. They will send off the final design to produce the prototype version in Korea. We should have the prototype ready before 2 months according to Alex. Then they will have me come out again for the final fitment to make any final adjustments. Finally, they will be sending it back out for final production. All in all, realistic time frame on the project until final production, they are expecting about 5-6 months (but don't quote me on it).
I've explained to Alex that the sedan guys are looking for a classy, yet sporty setup without it being overly flashy. I recommended him to make sure to offer stainless steel tip option and not just the titanium burnt tips. As far as sound, this set up should give a nice sporty sound and not at all raspy.
Here, I have the sound clip from the prototype version they installed on my car last week. IMO it sounds perfect! Not at all raspy, no droning, or overly loud. Very sporty clean tone to it.
Enjoy the clip and be sure to voice your opinions to let them know what you guys think.

As far as the design, each muffler will have dual chambers similar to the coupe version. On the coupe version the dual chambers are sitting on top of each other, however on the sedan prototype, the dual chambers were sitting laterally (if that makes any sense). But it's not really visible as you can see from the rear. Definitely, more subtle than what I had expected. Hopefully, you guys will have a better idea when we get some pics from Ark.

Not exactly sure on the price yet. I think the coupe version sells for around $1,200 IIRC. The piping diameter will be 2.5 inches.

Yea Alan, my car was at ARK for couple of days last week for the prototype fitting. I think they have pretty much finalized the design as of now. They will be using the dual chambers on each muffler similar to the coupe but will fabricate it to fit the sedans. The finalized prototype for me to keep should be here in about 2 months according to Alex from ARK.
