Looks Very Very Good! I sat in my car after seeing your pics and felt... well disapointed in my interior... I believe your pics have inspired me to spend some more $

Thank you! I know when I first got my G I thought interior would be one of the last things on my list to work on.. not so much now.

^ my initial thought as well, but the interior mods add so much to the driving experience.

I can't agree any more. I look forward to every drive when I can just sit down and enjoy my surroundings.

Being an inch or so lower is SO much nicer.

Mike, considering the lower console section had to be removed when you did the new trim, did you by chance figure out how to get the aluminum surround off of the shift module?
I want a new boot, but I want full coverage... I just don't know how to get that damn frame off yet.

I had no luck Scott. I took off a good portion of the panel when I was replacing mine with the suede boot.. however when I attempted to remove the major plate around the boot it yielded no results. I did not want to risk snapping anything so granted I did not play around too much with the trim. I'm sure there must be a way to remove it but I won't be the one to chance something breaking.

Hmm... I suppose there's a chance it was high frequency welded.
I'll ask next time I'm at the dealer. That surround looks like it could scratch quite easily so it must be replaceable.

I figured out how to remove the SHIFT PLATE!!!!! Very easy to remove actually and now I've already made a custom boot for my ride that covers the WHOLE shift plate... I'll have pix for you guys soon, looks great and I think a lot of people are going to like this more than the OEM replacement boot.
