Cleaned her up.

Well I hated it but I had too... I already miss my Legacy but this car is much classier. So I sold the 2005 GRP Legacy GT and bought a 2007 Infiniti G35x. I thought I would always stay in a Subaru after I drove the Legacy but this car really caught my attention. Plus, I kinda got bored with the Legacy... Figured why not make a payment again lol. Plus it had the All Wheel Drive that I didn't want to lose. Well here are some pics:

There are a couple things I like and dislike about the upgrade. What I liked about the Legacy was that it hugged the ground more. I felt like I owned the road with it. You sat much lower to the ground which made the turns a lot more fun as well as made me feel like I had a lot more control. Driving the Legacy was also a rougher ride. Simply put the tires were low profile as well as the suspension was stiffer. That's something I like about the G, the fact that it's much smoother. The interior is also nicer and I like the navigation (which needs a serious update but I have the slightest clue on how to do it). I'm not a fan of the interior trim peeling though. That's something I never had an issue with in the Legacy. I hope the G is great in the snow like the Legacy was. In the first winter pic that was in All Season Tires and the car was wonderful. In the second winter pic, that was the day we got hit with 14 inches of snow in about 4 hours. The Subaru was on winter tires in the second picture (beginning of the big storm) and the car never failed me. I had an awesome time that day. As you can see, I was the one that plowed through a parking lot. Leaving school I was the lead car out of campus. lol if it wasn't for me then many of the cars (Focus', Accords, Grand Ams) would have never made it out of campus. I wish I would have got a photo of it. lol it looked like a funeral prosession and I was the hearse lol. Enough with the rambling though, I just hope I don't run into any winter issues with this thing...

Welcome & congrats on the new purchase. There's another member on here that made the same switch and had a really nice modded Legacy.

Nice upgrade

Get yourself a winter wheel/tire setup and throw on some high perf summers.
You'll be quite happy with the handling and cornering once you get those RSA's off.
The car, even on the stock suspension, has fairly low body roll. I think a good set of summers will make your one or two dislikes go away.

Enjoy the new car and welcome to the forum!

I made the same switch. '05 GRP LGT - '07 G35x.
I think 1 of the big differences in handling between the 2 is the Subarus' flat 4 sits so low and is a much lighter engine compared 2 the V6.
