yet another rattle can headlight job
Finally decided to man up and tackle this since the weather is beautiful and i finally felt i had enough information to do this correctly. So last night i began removing the front bumper and housings. Baked them and removed the chrome pieces. Went to sleep and set the alarm for 7 am. Began prepping the surface with extra fine sanding cloth....basically red scotch brite pads but designed for automotive use. 2 coats of adhesive protomer....3 coats of high temp gloss black....and 3 coats of clear....and here we are. Results were much better than i expected with a rattle can....but i chalk that up to proper pre paint pre work. All i have is a cell phone camera right now but as you can see the paint looks great.

Finally got em in just as the sun was going down. I'll have my camera back tomorrow to get some better pics. The paint came out much better than i really expected. You can see the suns reflection in the paint on second pic for reference.
