How'd the blacked out trim come out?

I am thinking of doing the same, only with vinyl:

Universal Window Trim Overlay Sticker Kit

Unhappy

Actually.....it was an epic fail.

My masking job pulled the PD off with the tape.

I'll prob try vinyl also.

Dont spend that much on that kit. You can buy black vinyl off a roll by the foot from a sign shop, thats what I did. I did both sides for about $40 total.

Looks great! Only thing I'd change is the blacked out rear trunk lip thing, I think it'd look better if you color matched it with the car...

blacked out trim

So I bought some black vinyl on a roll and did my trim this weekend.

It looks great on my LP sedan....

....from about 10 feet away.

Despite spending the better part of 5 hours on the whole project, I just couldn't get all the damn bubbles out on the curves. Not for a lack of effort on my part either -- I tried all the tricks.

I was learning along the way, so the later pieces came out generally better than the initial pieces. I may redo some of it in a couple of weeks -- don't have the patience now.
