Not really, i have mine in mint condition with NO such loss of material on the buttons and still looks great apart from a few scratches on the back from every time i drop it

Maybe if you use your nails instead of the flat thumb it would happen.

Yea a lot of people are surprised the OEM 18's aren't aftermarket. From a distance it looks great, but when you get closer the sunken look kills it hah. I still get looks and compliments left and right regardless
