Over the past week I had been working on a car deal to get out of my 08 G and its troublesome 6MT transmission. I told the dealer that they needed to find me a car though because I wasn't selling mine unless it was for a white sport package.
After weasling the most out of mine on trade in, and getting the numbers perfected on the new car, I pulled the trigger. First new car, and first car I bought entirely under my name with my credit. I waited around the dealer all friday until it showed up on teh truck and was prepped. I literally wanted it to be perfect and plan on doing the initial detail and what not on my own. I said clean it and leave it (since it was still all wrapped up).
So meet the new car. 2013 G37xS. It has the premium, sport and navigation packages along with the midnight grill and trunk spoiler. White () with black interior.
Little different than a RWD Sport (I miss the connected feeling of the sport) but it is quite comfortable, the tech is a lot better, and it still holds its own pretty well. (Broke it in on a G cruise through the twisties with 200 miles on it.) Plus that 7AT first gear pulls like a freight train off the line... can't wait until it is broken in.
Couple pics with the old G. I will miss her.
At home.
It is a lease as the deals were too good to pass up. Probably going to get a Q50 or try something else in 2 years. Pulled the equity out of my car since I'd like to buy my first place next summer and will use it towards the downpayment.
Curious to see how this car treats me. Needs tint ASAP though.

First transmission grinded into gears, replaced, second transmission needed a throw out bearing and was grinding in the mornings, third transmission with 1000 miles on it wouldn't go into gear, grinded every morning and made popping noises. Said enough was enough. Warranty was up in Nov, figured now was a better time than any to dump it.
I don't really miss the MT for DD. I drive slower and im getting muuuuch better gas mileage. I'll buy another 6MT but it will be in the form of a roadster for summer fun. I am enjoying the auto for DD.

I am hoping Infiniti has smoothed out the issues people seem to complain about with the 7AT. So far it seems mine (i'v already amassed 600 miles on the car...) but who knows.
I do miss that rev match into third entering a corner and powering out lol. I loved the 6MT G when it wasn't being a bitch lol.

LOL, car's looking nice, and glad your initial impressions of the 7AT are positive. My 07 5AT was a pretty strong pulling & decisive AT, My 09 7AT is great going up through the gears but a bit quirky at coasting down, but all in all I haven't had any serious issues, not to the point that I have any regrets. Look forward to hearing your feedback after more seat time. Glad you got the deal you wanted too

My initial feedback is highly positive. I'v racked up almost 600 miles since friday and I literally have nothing but good things to say. I look forward to getting behind the wheel every time I drive this car. Always wanted a white sport model G, and I finally have a white sport model G. My dreams have been fulfilled. Plus, this thing destroys my 6MT in gas mileage. I'v gone like 275 miles and i'v only used like half a tank of gas.... Just an absolutely beautiful car too. I turn and look at it every time I get out, and stare at it out the window at work. It is just amazing... Planning on cleaning it up tomorrow and clay barring it. Then add the sealant on over night and start the prep process to making the Moonlight White paint really pop.
