Next Generation FX Pics?
The inherent problem with Infinit's latest round of designs is that they don't have that instant "gotta have it" impact on you. When I first saw the V35 Coupe and the S50 FX I was like "hot damn." I wasn't a fan of the whole "crossover SUV" fad that was becoming the next big thing at the time but the FX45 was instant sex when I saw it. Same thing with the '06 M. The V36 Sedan in terms of design was a major step forward in comparison with the somewhat staid looking V35 Sedan which always seemed to hide in the shadow of its better looking Coupe sibling.
Then the G37 came out with it's controversial azz followed by the bubbly EX. Both cars grew on me but it took some time to warm to some of the design cues of both vehicles. Now I see this monstrosity. I'm wondering if like the rest of Infiniti's recent designs, it needs to be seen in person to be appreciated...or if Nakamura really has gone off the deep end. The new Murano was just as funky when I first saw it in pictures, but its quirkyness is already getting to me and I think I may be coming around. This new FX though...I dunno man. He may have gone too far this time.
Seriously, Infiniti should have hired the guy who drew this to design the 2nd gen FX.

I couldn't see the pics so rehosting.

That's a very round front end.
I always wondered why the FXs had a little bit of an overbite on the front bumper, this one seems to have received larger one than previous years.
old pic

At least they moved the antenna.

I no likely the rear lights either, front grille is a bit over designed. The current FX tail lights are very nice, as are the stock headlights. The seam in the doors is gone which is a good thing, love they kept most of the roof line which has always been a fav of mine.

When I took out the 07 FX35 I loved it, I just wanted a bit more power, but did not want to go to the V8.

Actually, Deane, I think the FX could possiblly weigh nearly the same as the current model even though it is slightly larger. Above is a link to thread I started earlier. It talks about the use of aluminum to cut weight and keep it lighter than the X5.
Oh...and why won't Infiniti bring over headlight washers for the U.S. market vehicles? I've found I could have used it way more than once in this weather.

No doubt there will some attention to diet since Infiniti eludes to that being a n advantage over BMW. I guess I'm less confident they'll be able to do much about Nissan/Infiniti's (and many other manufacturers) love of piling on the pounds.
