Just installed Voodoo shift ****, WINNING!!

Came across this shift **** on ebay and picked it up pretty cheap.
I gotta say I love this thing.
It's considerably lower than the oem **** (about 1") and makes for a completely different driving experience.
I was also able to make my own collar for the **** with some black tubing at the local hardware store.
I really wanted to get the 6 speed pattern engraved on the **** but that was another $40, no thnx.

I was trying to find something that was thinner, but couldn't.
It looks even weirder without the tubing, where the base of the **** meets the shift boot.

i think you should check with locksmith and get one of his boots, I know the oem boot has the strips that connect to the stock shift **** and look funky as hell when you use an aftermarket ****. Locksmiths booths will have the top area sewn in and it will look much better, and if I remember correctly his prices are really good. I am going to be installing an aftermarket ball **** and am getting a boot from him.

how hard was it for you to get off the oem ****, i know you have to break the sealing glue, did you use vise grips for both sides and turn it loose?

taking of stock ***** is extremely easy, it's only held on by a pin that just slips out

i have the killjulez **** and one of locksmiths boots and its a perfect combo

the top of the shiftboot has a ring where the material is wrapped around which makes it look clean with a ball type shift **** like that

No pin on the oem shift ****.
I had to use vise grips on the shifter shaft and cresent wrench on the neck of the shift ****.

ohh didnt realize you were referring to AT ambiguous, thanks for the clarification. I think i will have to be using the same method to take off my ****. did you take off the trim and get to the actual shifter to lock the vise grips onto or did u just go over the oem boot?

I took off the boot so I could vise grip around the actual shifter
It's actually a really easy process.
I used this write up. Just refer to the last 2 pics.
You don't need to remove the upper section where the clock is.
Just lift up on the center console where the boot is and it pops right off

I found this kinda helpful too.

Looks good. Do they make these for autos? Also, will they engrave anything on the ****? Yours would look awesome with the 6 spd pattern on it and paint the inside of the pattern black. Just my opinion. Just think it'd look really great.

From the pics it looks like the **** matches the brushed aluminum interior really well too.

Looks like they only have em for 6mt.
Yeah they do custom engraving, but it's not cheap.
I might have them engrave the 6mt layout on the **** later,
just didn't feel like paying to ship it to them and then pay another $50 for the engraving/shipping back to me.
Of all the places I checked Rick's voodoo ***** looked to have the best engraving though.
