I know this really old but did you find out what was wrong with your car here with the SET light blinking and the backfire issue? I think you are the only other one that seems to have the same issue I have now. I was about to pull into the parking lot at work this morning and all of sudden a felt a little backfire or hesitation and I saw the limp home mode light come on for just a moment then it went away and then Service Engine Soon light kept fading on slightly then off again all the while the SET light was blinking. This continued until I parked the car then I got it out with it still running and it sounded like it was running perfect... not sure why it was having issues when driving it at 20mph or under through the parking lot. Any help you can give would be GREATLY appreciated! I did turn the car off and back on and it seems fine now but I haven't driven it.
