I posted a before/after dyno of the HR headers, HR cats, and HR y-pipe on my 2005 6MT coupe. If you're interested, you can find the results here: https://g35driver.com/forums/intake-...6mt-coupe.html

    Dave,

Do you happen to know of any place in KC where I could pick up an 05 sedan midpipe for my 04 sedan? Any help would be great. I'd really like to not have to pay a ton of money for shipping one here.

    Thanks

Hi. I received a message saying you may have for sale a pair of catalytic converters for a 2004 G35x. If so, what do you want for them? Thanks

Yes, the 05/06 midpipe is a direct swap. It's about 15lbs lighter than the 03/04 sedan midpipe. Sounds great too. I had the coupe midpipe prior and it caused some drone and the sound seemed off (hard to example). The 05/06 midpipe is actually a bit louder, but has no drone. Weird.

    Hi Dave,

Still have my 2003 Black G with 235,000 kilometers and its still running well. The one problem is the midpipe is done and I replaced it with a jobber pipe that makes too much noise for my liking, it was only 150$ installed, did some reading and was wondering if the 2005/2006 midpipe is the same exact fit as the 2003, it seems to be a lot cheaper and lighter too.

    Thanks
    Anthony

dave ive got some questions to ask you bout installing headers in my G coupe.
will i need an engine lift? because i was told to due to the lack of space the G's have.
whats the easiest way to get to your spark plugs? i haven't tuned m car up in a while.
and would u recommend oem 350z parts installed onto a g35? (ex. exhaust, intake, headers, piston rods, so on and so forth)

    Ken,

I love the midpipe. It fits perfectly with no need for modification like the coupe midpipe. I've had both and the 05/06 sedan midpipe sounds much cleaner, deeper, and has no resonating. It has a nice throaty rumble, much like the E36 M3, but just fractionally louder and never intrusive.
