Not a story of smoking one...............but my friend tonight is going to trade in his sweet 350z for his new S4 6-speed. It is suppose to be quicker than the M3 and has 340hp. 1/4 mile in low 13's and 0-60 in upper 4's. The best part about it is that he has never driven stick so I have to drive it home for him. I will let you guys know just how quick it is!!!!

 

I've heard great things about the S4 and the S6. Sleeper cars. I'm curious as to what you think about it. I can't imagine trading my G in for an S4, but whatever floats his boat I guess.

The S4 is incredible. We were taking corners at about 40 and the car does not move because of the quattro system. It is like VDC on steriods re-distributing power, torque, and braking to all 4 tires. It is definitely a car of choice.....you don't want to race one either. It also comes with Recaro seats. The issue is that the looks are really nothing special and the price was $51,000. Alot of $ for alot of car. My friend ordered it in the racing blue with the 2 tone suede interior.

 

Sounds nice. Sleeper cars are good, but if I was paying $50,000+ for a performance car, I want people to know it, you know? Thanks for the report though.

Beautiful car (I had the previous model 2001 S4 and still drool over the new B6 model), however not quite as fast an M3. Quattro will get it moving off the line but the M3 will slowly overtake it. The S4 just needs to shed a few hundred lbs ;-)

04 S4 weight 3900lbs and runs 13.8-9 (1/4 mile)
03 M3 weigh 3430lbs and runs 13.3 and 13.5 w/ SMG
If I was in the market to look for 50G car M3 is the choice.

However, to each his own.
