Wheel repair...need suggestions?

Hi, does anyone know of a good repair shop in the Northern suburbs (Lake County) for wheel repair. My wife drove my car yesterday and ripped up the rims on the passenger side. Stock price is hefty so if anyone knows anywhere, please let me know.

Re: Wheel repair...need suggestions?

Man that sucks....i was mad when i accidentally did that to my aftermarket wheels last summer. But is the rim bent...or scratched, cuz if its bent and not scratched it repairable...but it might cost as much as replacing it...but if its scratched it has to be replaced cuz there is really no way to fix that, unless you take a dremel or something similar and try to polish and buff it out.,,,it might be noticable up close but when your driving or looking at it from far away you can't notice it if you do a good job that is. Good luck...sorry i couldn't solve your problem exactly.

No, the rim isn't bent, just about 4 or 5 little chunks out of the corner rim on each wheel. Funny thing was, I only noticed it at the car wash place and was horrified. The only person who's driven this car has been my wife that one time and when I asked her about it (quite calmly), she said "Oh, I hit something, but when I checked the tires were okay"...I was like "the tires, did you check the rims?" and she said"why, the tires were fine"...I'm hiding the keys for my G, thank Christ my S2000 is manual, she can't drive stick..Lol

When the Motorwerks dealership in Barrington f-ed up my rims, they took it to some place, was done the same day. I sure you could call them up and ask them who they use for rim repair. They did a fairly decent job (pics are in Wheels/Tire section)...
