Chicago Auto Show - Winter Weather Advisory

Well Mother Nature is not our friend!!!! We are looking at 4 - 8 inches of snow by tomorrow (Friday 2/6) morning

I don't know about the rest of you but I have the stock Pilots as I have a junker for a daily commuter ... let's hope and pray the roads are cleared by Friday night/Saturday morning or it's gonna get ugly!

I'm checking the weather here and as of right now it doesn't look good

Re: Chicago Auto Show - Winter Weather Advisory

Seeing as how my coupe is an auto w/o any wheel package, I'm not too worried about the snow. It really does pretty well as long as I'm not driving in more than 4 or 5 inches. I assume that the streets will be fairly clear. Anyway, I will be driving up Friday night, so hopefully everything will be fairly cleared up by then. We'll see.

Thanks for the heads up.

lmaz... thanks for all the welcoming! it's great to (semi) be back.

people, be careful. just last week here in indiana, there was a 12 car pile-up on one of our highways due to the snow. drive safe because everyone has to get back in one piece so they can be forum addicts and tell us all about the car show and upload the meet pictures!!

Re: Chicago Auto Show - Winter Weather Advisory

...latest update (as I go look out my window from NW suburban Chicago area at 10:48PM CST...)

It's not snowing real hard now. It appears as though we have about an inch more on the ground, but that's mostly from earlier this evening. The plows came by about 9:15 but not much on my driveway. I checked the weather link in this post and the area was actually clear so what I may be seeing is just blowing snow! Hopefully it stops now, goes up to 33 degrees and melts this crap off my driveway so I don't have to get up at 4:00 to snowblow!!!

The drive in today was a pice of cake. Clean roads. The are a bit damp but nothing like last night's drive home! Be careful. See you soon Indy members.

Re: Chicago Auto Show - Winter Weather Advisory

All I got down here in indy last night was rain which melted some more of the snow. I think the trip up this afternoon shouldn't be too bad. Maybe a few flurries, but I don't expect there to be any hard snowing going on.

Re: Chicago Auto Show - Winter Weather Advisory

As of this afternoon, the highways (I-294 specifically) was clean and dry. All of the streets around my house are still a bit damp ... had to take the G to get a bath at the hand wash place and then drove back at about 20 mph

Hopefully everything will be pretty dry tomorrow so there's not a bunch of dirty G's pullin up to the auto show

See everyone in the morning!
