the general consensus seems to be that either is good to work with

Re: MN Owners?

Hey guys, new to MN and a new coupe owner (less than a week) which I got from Luther. Great to work with, no pressure, took the time to make sure I was familiar and comfortable with the car. If you do go there, talk to Tom, great guy, easy to work with.

On another note, any suggestions on Import shops in the area? Oh yeah, I'm in Richfield...

Re: MN Owners?

Just bought a new 04 Coupe a month ago after some serious investigating at both dealerships....bought the car at Lupient who treated me like a king, great service package (free vehicle when your's is in overnight), nice people, and gave me a thousand off the top of the car plus a very generous trade-in amount for my BMW....See Bob Schneider!

Re: MN Owners?

Very interesting. I bought my sedan from Bob Schneider too back in July 03, except it was at Luther. I took a friend there to test drive earlier this year and when I asked for him they said he no longer was employed there. Guess I know why now, he switched!

Re: MN Owners?

Jim-I'm sure both dealerships are pretty good, but I did end up buying my G (and my wife's FX) at Lupient Infiniti. One thing that might be in Lupient's favor is that the service manager seem to be "mod-friendly", meaning that they'll most likely still do warrenty work even if you have some performance mods. A tech there told me the other day that their service manager actually enjoy seeing modded G35s and might be getting a G himself to mod up.

Re: MN Owners?

I've had my Twilight Blue 6MT coupe for a little over a year. Great car. It's time to slap on the snow tires ina couple of weeks. It actually is very good in the snow as long as you have the right tires.

Very few mods for me--just a Z tube and high flow cats. Also did some audio mods (I bought the base model). Might install a plenum in the spring.

Yeah, about to put my snows on after this weekend, first time driving this car in the snow. Heard mixed advice. jjellyneck, did you put sand bags or anything like that in the trunk?

Re: MN Owners?

no dis regaurd specialist 23 but I work at a bodyshop and if you guys here on the board have contacted the farmers rep I would advise strongly against using farmers ins as they are the cheapest when it comes to fixing your car. We had an 05 300c w/theHEMI and he was rearened and the farmers rep for are shop was not wanting to put a new oem cover on he wanted to have the bumper reconditioned and the car had only 4000 miles on it. Thats just some of the things they don't tell you that they will use used or aftermarket parts un less you say all I want on my car is OEM. so if you don't plan on getting in an accident than they are one of the cheapest out there but if you get in alot of accidents and cherrish your G than they aren't for you!!!!

Re: MN Owners?

i'll have to disagree, but obviously i'm going to. adjusters are just like sales people, one doesn't represent the entire group/company. just because the adjuster felt as though he/she could've saved the company a little money obviously doesn't mean that's right. secondly, just because it happened in this situation, doesn't lead to the fact that it will happen all the time or even close to half the time. farmers is the second largest insurance company in the nation, trust me, they're not hurting for money. they just want to make sure that they're not getting scammed either. but i will agree, ALL insurance companies will try this at one point or another and have adjusters like this because then they get a larger bonus...

Would anybody be up for an informal meet in the spring? Any ideas on where/what (lunch, ProKart, MoA, drag strip, empty lot, etc)?

Would be nice to see what all you have done with your cars. I'm still looking to find somebody who has a Stillen cat back on the sedan...

I'd definitely be up for that, although haven't really done any mods yet, waiting for the spring. Also, wouldn't really know the best place to meet, stil trying to figure my way around here. Anyone know a good place to get the G washed this winter? I'd rather not take it to through the gas station wash and it's too cold to do it in my driveway.
