That might have been me! I'm in Geneva. Got mine at Field's in Glenview. Had a pretty good experience there. The only other coupe I've seen around here was a black MT in Elgin.

OK, so who was driving a silver G35 Coupe in Bartlett yesterday (4/1) on Bartlett Rd around 3:30pm?? You were about 10 cars ahead of me, I was considering trying to catch up to ya, but since we were stuck on 2 lane road there was no chance.
I also have a silver G35Coupe, so there's 2 coupes in Bartlett, alas the same color.

Yeah, but it's partially my fault. I hastilly ordered a fully loaded 5A/T G coupe from Lisle Infiniti back in Nov to be shipped in Jan/Feb, but a week later I had 2nd thoughts about the look w/ the spoiler so I called my salesman to cancel the aero package on my order. I left two other reminders with him and when I got the highly anticipated arrival call on Jan.20 he said it had the spoiler on it. He wouldn't give me any discount because he knew the car could still be sold to someone else very soon. I couldn't take the torture of waiting any longer so I just bought another coupe on the lot w/o spoiler, nav, and 18's. I don't mind though, $3150 cheaper and still a joy to drive.

Should we try to plan a meet with the IL people somewhere?

 

Usually I would say "no" to a meetup, but I think that this car is so new and unique that would should meet up somewhere, sometime. From the looks we get just driving our car, can you imagine what we would get if we all met somewhere at once? It could be a good time. I'm up for it. Anyone else?

Ok, I have done a little research on ideas. We can go 1 of 3 routes for a meet.

1. Meet at a place like a Krispy Kreme and stand around and kick tires and talk about G's. Cool, low pressure and no big time committment.

2. Meet at a Dave & Busters or Gameworks and eat, drink and play games. Bigger time committment but plenty to keep busy.

3. A Rally. Maybe out to Starved Rock. About 1.5 hours from Chicago. Biggest time committment but we get to drive....
