KC Gs

Ok, my curiousity has gotten the better of me. Are there any other KC area Gs (or Zs for that matter) on this board? Or am I the only one in town obsessed with this car?

I'm here in town. Check my website for the latest pics with the wheels. I live down in OP so that is where I am most of the time.

KCIR

It's on Noland Road and pretty much 350 hwy. I used to own a maxima so I still hang around with the group and we have a website at http://www.kcmaximas.org/forum. I also am a member of another local group at http://www.fast4doors.com, don't be afraid to post there cause there are a few other 2 door cars on the site. I go by shortchaz on both of them.

Re: KC Gs

That's what I figured. What's it cost to run there?

Re: KC Gs

I believe it is $20 to run and $10 to watch. Click on that link in my previous post and it should say the current prices.

Re: KC Gs

Hey all. O.P. here, too. I wouldn't say I'm obsessed... It's more of an addiction... I'm the red one around town that seems to be either going too slow or a little too fast...

Hey, is it just me or does it seem like there's a whole bunch of new G's out there recently? I think I see about 3, 4 a day just on I-35.

Re: KC Gs

That's more than I see usually, but I don't mind it cause the number of G's out there still isn't the kind of number of other cars such as the maxima.

Re: KC Gs

I've seen a laser red coupe on Broadway near Westport and on Westport Road, but its been a couple a months. Saw one coming south on Oak downtown a couple weeks ago, too. Maybe one of those was you.

Re: KC Gs

I'm seeing a lot more G's around too. Still mostly sedans though, but more and more coupes too. Seems like 90% of all of them are silver. Saw one of the garnet red sedans yesterday though. Almost bought one of those.

How do you guys feel about the service at Major?

Re: KC Gs

I think the service is good, most of the guys recognize me when I am in too(could be that I'm 6'9" ),although I have only had my car in for the recalls since I do all my own oil changes and stuff. I've noticed too that most of the G's I see are silver, I guess that is the main color that major gets in or somehow the popular color.

Re: KC Gs

Nice lookin' car. 6-9 would be hard to forget. I'm only 6-2 so I'm less noticeable.

I've had mine out there twice since I got it for warranty work. Haven't been terribly impressed. Wanted to argue with me about whether I should have a loaner the first time and wouldn't believe my diagnosis of the problem (which I picked up here) the second time. Ended up keeping my car two days before sheepishly admitting I was right.

Re: KC Gs

Nah... that probably wasn't me that you saw, roland. Although I work by that area, but I do usually drive out to Westport. I am occasionally on Plaza though. I do see tons of sedans and coupes by where I live, which is down south by 119th. I have seen just about every color including another red one by a chick, and a handful of Z's. Oh, I guess I've yet seen a white coupe...

As far as Major, they've been satisfactory in my experience. I've been going there from oil change to, of course, warranty works. So far so good. It's the actual place that I think doesn't stack up to other dealers like the Lexus that I used to go next door. They need to renovate their inside. But I guess as long as the service is decent, that's all that matters.

Re: KC Gs

Hey all. I know most of you probably wash your car yourselves in your driveway. But for those of you who don't, where do you take your G for a cheap quick wash, or for a good detail? I sometimes take it to one of those coin-ops for a quick rinse, and I've been down to the TurtleWax on 135th across the street from Wallmart... what a waste of money and time. Will not get another hand wax there. Anyway, any suggestions, recommendations? Thanks.
