Question for CO residents
Question for CO residents
Hello Colorado!
I'm looking for some advice for my brother, who is about to move from NC to CO with his QX4. I was wondering if he needs to get any service done on his car once he gets there to compensate for the difference in air density like adjust the timing, or if the car will compensate automatically. Thanks in advance for your help.

Re: Question for CO residents
I have a QX4 as well as a G35C. The car will adjust all by itself. But he needs to get used to having a wimpy car in the mountains. Lower atmospheric pressure, equals less air going into the engine, equals less horsepower. The QX4 was a little light on horsepower to begin with so....

Re: Question for CO residents
Thanks for your response. I'll tell him what to expect. He had a maxima before his QX4, so he's already adjusted to the fact that it's slow and underpowered. He likes it though, and he just wants it to last him a few more years. I, on the other hand, am probably going to complain to him the whole drive out west about the power. I know I'll miss my G35C the whole time.
Again, thanks for your help.
