This idea has some merit to it. I was just in Holland over the 4th to go to the beach. Place was paaaaaacked.....but beautiful out there. Anyway I'm busy this weekend and the next. Then I think the next two weekends after that are tentatively free - I'd have to double-check though.

 

I'll be headed to Nashville next weekend for Import Alliance. I'll be caravaning down with hundreds of cars, possibly thousands. After that, my weekends are free until August 19.

Exactly 1 week from Today I'll be in FL picking up an '04 6MT from my brother. Car only has 33,xxx miles on it so I'm pretty excited about that. Somebody keep me posted on if you guys have any g2gs or what ever. I'm still pretty active on my old Focus board and we have a lot of gatherings. would be nice to meet some of ya'll

Ya this thread is epically dead... I posted twice in a row except one week apart..

It's a little late this year cuz I'm puttin the G away soon for the winter but in the spring we need to have a meet somewhere..

 

One thing im not looking forward too. Snow. Hate it. Does horrible things to cars lol.

 

Yes it does. Thats why I refuse to let the G see snow. It lived the first 8 years of its life in FL so I refuse to let snow/salt ruin a really nice southern car. It'll be stored and i'll be drivin the beater jetta all winter. which is still a fun car to drive as it is lol

 

Thats what I did last winter, the jetta rocked the snow lol. This year however, my sedan will be in monster truck mode as I sold all both of my winter cars.

 

Good luck with that.. I'm sure with a good snow tire it won't be terrible, but I still couldn't bring myself to have to drive the G in the snow.

Picking up a set of blizzaks for the Jetta in a month or so and it should stomp all over winter tank style just like my old SVT Focus did with the same tires.

 

New (to me) G owner in Grand Rapids!

Just picked up an 04 AT Sedan about a month ago and have started doing a couple basic mods - K&N Filter, Z tube, and soon to come 5/16 Copper Iso spacer and Blizzak tires for the winter ! Glad to see a couple more active forum members!
