Visiting Indianapolis thru Wed...

Am staying downtown... anybody have an recommendations for good places to eat and what not to miss that I can get to during my freetime.

Some good restaurants....Palomino, Eagle's Nest, if you want a fantastic steak go to St. Elmo's they're nationally recognized.

St. Elmos is a must for a great steak and an even better Shrimp cocktail. The Slippery Noodle is a great blues bar. The Rathskellar is a real nice place to go for a few beers.

Don't miss the Alcatraz Bar and Grill! Last year, we liked it so much we went there twice, two nights in a row!

Alcatraz? Ooof... the beer's good (particularly their amber), but the food is blegh. If I'm downtown, I like to hit up Champp's for a few beers and some good apps [img]/w3timages/icons/smile.gif[/img] I prefer the bistros in z'ville, though, truth be told.
