Rotor Ridges

Quick question I was hoping I could get some help on. I have had my new 04 for a month with 1500 miles and just noticed today that my front rotors have ridges when you run your finger over them (not sure how else to describe it), but the rear rotors are completely smooth to the touch. Is this something I should be worried about or is there an intended reason for this. Your help is appreicated.

Enzo

Re: Rotor Ridges

Hey enzo, it really depends on how deep the ridges are. If the ridges are very minor then that I would consider normal wear even with little miles. If the ridges are noticeable or significant, I would make an appointment very soon with your dealer to have it looked at and they may replace your front rotors. If this is on a 5AT then it shouldn't be a problem as brake problems are a known issue.
