If it was me I'd leave the taillights stock but if you really want to do it right I'd say get them professionally painted instead of the overlays cuz it'll look a lot better in the long run.
I have been to a few shops that paint taillights. I really like how they look. However, the paint can't be removed once is it applied. Which would suck if I ever got pulled over for having tinted taillights. BlueBatmobile uses high quality, 7 year rated vinyl. Plus I think they look good too. I'm not sure though. Can anyone chime in who has/had painted taillights?
Lance (1cleanG) had painted tails. I think he ordered overlays at first but didn't like how they looked or messed up when putting them on and just had them painted.
To your original question, I like the gtr style better. I've been considering the GTR style overlays for my coupe but I don't really like that the tint offered for the style I want is so dark. I just want a subtle shade darker.

Sup everyone! Hope you're all doing well. After a couple months wait we finally got a brand new family vehicle. Tina and I picked up a 2010 GMC Terrain pretty much fully loaded. The ride is nice and compliant but best of all there's lot of room to stretch in contrast to the G or mazda 3
Now I need to get some 20s for it

Thx Peng. The stock are 17s. They had optional 18s or 19s for an additional fee but I figured I was most likely going aftermarket so I saved the money upfront to put it toward a set of 20s. Now I just gotta find one that Tina will also like.
Very nice, Tevi! I just got to South Dakota today and was riding around in my aunts Terrain. (hers has the 19s on it though) and it is definitely a sweet ride.
Glad to see you liked it!
