Just moved to Kansas City (Olathe) 06 G35

Hey all,

just moved here from Okalahoma City. Actually started off in TX with my old Blue Vortech Z back in 2003 (DBZcat on My350z.com) so I keep going north. Ever since I left TX I have never been able to find a decent shop to do work with and I'm in high hopes that someone can point me in the right direction here. I can say I'm already pleased about the roads, Oklahoma roads suck! I actually bent one of my DPE rims on my move to Kansas City. What a nice good bye that was...

I have a 2006 G35 Coupe Lakeshore Slate/Grey with 20" DPE wheels with Bilstein coilovers and white LED interior swap from a zexyrob a while back. I know there are photos of it posted.

Here is my 06, it is sad to say but I don't have any recent photos of her. :/

Welcome to Kansas man. I'm actually not to far north of you in Lenexa. I have a vortech g35. You don't happen to know how to tune the SS box do you?

No sry I had my shop do that stuff, I sure miss Dallas. Lots of shops and local groups, someone always knew how to do something. Who installed your vortech?

I was kinda pumped getting back to a bigger city but not as similar as the Dallas crowd...I have no clue where junction city is.

You know what though, One of my friends husbands works for pro charger so I know he could help out. He is in the area and I could ask, we talked about my vortech kit I had a few years back.

Lenexa is nice, looked around that area before I bought.

Hey Im in Olathe in an 03 LR Coupe...

Quick question, did you install your coils yourself or have someone do them for you? I bought coils and F&R camber kits on black friday and have been looking around to get them installed since I have no suspension experience and everywhere is quoting me around $350!!!

I did them with a friend prior to moving so I couldn't help without them. 350 is crazy

That seems like quite a bit..... I've done some suspension work but never coilovers...only springs...

Coilovers installation would probably be very similar since you have to remove the struts for both.

I have tried:
Modified By KC~ $350
KCTrends~ $350
ChuxTrux~ $320

Truthfully I haven't had any shops do anything except Revline, but that was back when I had a Honda....you could check them out....umm....House of Boost....MC racing...

http://www.revlinemotorsports.com/ -Revline
http://www.houseofboost.com/ - House of Boost
http://www.gomcracing.com/ - Mc Racing

I know a guy that did some work around here in JC but I don't know how much he charges or if he is still around (he was getting stationed in Europe somewhere last I saw..) hope this helps....you might have better luck finding a vendor locally at kcsr.org.....
