where to you take your G in kc?

Hey fellow KCG's...

I was wondering where do you guys take your car other than Major Infiniti for non-warranty works such as oil change, wheel alignment, tire rotation, etc. I want to be able to go to a trustworthy place and knowing they won't try to rip me off... I'm in Overland Park. Thanks a lot.

*Hey, how about that gathering???

I really don't like Major very much. (I could make a list...) Only take my car there for warrenty work that I don't pay for. For everything else I use the Nissan dealer here in Topeka.

For alignments Shore tire on 95 is good and I have been told have the only laser alignment machine that is not at a dealership in the area. Oil is easy enough that I do it myself, but castrol and midas places seem to do a good job for the rest of the family.

I'm going to KCIR this weekend with http://www.fast4doors/com. As long as the weather holds it should be a good day of runs.

I bought a 2003 sedan from them in Jun. During the sale they disclosed a minor dent that they had repaired. I also pointed out a small dent in the rear bumper cover. They only would pay half to fix it. I agreed. When the part came in I took my car in. I pointed out that the dent that they disclosed was not fixed properly and they agreed to fix it at the same time as the bumper skin install. The work was to be done at Major Cadillac's body shop. I picked the car up in a driving rain so I did not have an opportunity to examine the repair. A couple of days later I was able to take a closer look. It was horrible. Runs, orange peel, scratches. The worst body and paint I have ever seen. They agreed to fix it again. I took it in and dropped it off. I was told to come back at noon. I did and was lead to my car. The "repair" was being done in the back parking lot by a "dents r us" bozo working out of a van. In the wind and dirt painting my car!! I watched in shock as he finished buffing the "repair". He slung compound all over the side of the car. On my wheels and tires. On the black plastic sill. Buffed scratches in my chrome window trim. Then he wiped it down with thinner and left a big palm print in the clearcoat. I went nuts. I told the sales manager that this was not what I agreed to and asked to see the general manager. After a half hour I was lead to the GM's office. We went out to the car and I pointed out the problems. He ageed with me!! But then said there was nothing more they were willing to do on an "other than new" vehicle. I asked him if that was the very best Major Infiniti could do and he said yes and walked away. After a complaint was filed with Infiniti Consumer Affairs I was told to call the GM. I did and he said that the guy who did the repair would re do it. I declined. What a joke.

Four times I have been there for service and three time the loaner I got was on empty with the low fuel light. The service writer said "just bring it back on empty". Very unprofessional. I will only use them for warranty work.

Maybe they treat "new car" owners differently. But I spent $28,000 on a car with 17000 miles on it. It's damn near a new car and I should be treated better.

WOW usually they sign one of those we owe slips. I would have made them put it in writing. But I am very "pushy" as my wife states when it comes to car dealers. I know what I want and If we agree on something I want it in writing and make sure its spelled out clearly as I have been burned in the past. Sorry for your misfortune. Come check out the fast4doors.com there are about 4 sedans in the group as of this post. We would love to have 1 more.
